Contracts you could be winning
but aren't positioned for.
Governments and large companies buy from small businesses all the time.
Most owners never see those opportunities, because they aren't registered, certified, or on the right lists. I get you positioned, then help you bid.
Procurement readiness first. Bids second.
You can deliver. You're just not on the list.
- You don't know where contracts are posted or how to register
- You've been told you need a certification or designation
- Your ownership structure might qualify for supplier diversity programs
- You've bid before and lost without knowing why
Being good at the work is necessary. It isn't sufficient.
Where the value usually is.
Government procurement
Federal, provincial and municipal buying: how to register, where opportunities are posted, and which ones a business your size can actually win.
Corporate supplier programs
Large companies run vendor and supplier diversity programs that actively look for smaller suppliers. Most never hear about them.
Certifications that open doors
Ownership-based designations (Indigenous, women, minority-owned and similar) and operational certifications (safety, quality) that make you eligible for work you can't reach today.
Bid and proposal strategy
Which bids to chase, which to skip, and how to write a proposal that reads like a supplier a buyer can trust.
// A note on programs: Programs open, close and change constantly. I check what's actually available when we talk, and I don't quote eligibility or dollar figures on a web page.
What this looks like in practice.
A trades business with a door it didn't know it had
Identified relevant supplier diversity opportunities and showed a trades business how its ownership structure could create access to procurement it wasn't pursuing. Real engagement, client name withheld.
Find. Prioritize. Act.
We check registrations, certifications, insurance, safety and quality requirements. The gaps that quietly disqualify you get fixed first.
I map where a business like yours can actually win: the right buyers, the right programs, the right size of contract.
Proposal strategy and support, so you bid on the right things and bid well.

Questions people
actually ask.
Can you help me win a contract?
I improve your positioning and your odds. Nobody can promise a contract award, and I won't. What I can do is make sure you're eligible, visible and credible to the buyers that fit you.
Which certifications actually matter?
It depends on the buyer. Ownership-based designations open some doors; safety and quality certifications open others. I map which ones are worth the cost for the contracts you want.
Isn't procurement only for big companies?
No. Many government and corporate programs are designed to reach smaller suppliers, and some set-asides only smaller or diverse-owned businesses can access.
What does 'contract-ready' mean?
Registered where buyers look, certified where required, insured and compliant, with the capacity, references and proposal to back it up. Most businesses are two or three fixable gaps away.
What are you leaving on the table?
You don't need a perfectly defined problem. Tell me what you're trying to accomplish, and I'll tell you where the opportunities are.
