Tax credits you're eligible for
and haven't claimed.
Apprenticeship, training, hiring, investment and innovation credits exist at the federal and provincial level.
They get missed constantly, because they sit between what your accountant files and what your operation actually does. I identify what applies, then work with your accountant to claim it.
I work alongside your accountant, not around them.
Credits hide in the gap between the books and the shop floor.
- You employ apprentices or trainees
- You've invested in equipment, tooling or technology
- You solve technical problems as part of the work
- You've never had a credit review beyond routine filing
Credits depend on operational facts. Somebody has to go look for them.
Where the value usually is.
Apprenticeship and training credits
Credits tied to hiring and developing apprentices and trainees, which trades and industrial employers miss more than anyone.
Investment and innovation credits
Credits for equipment, technology and technical problem-solving (including SR&ED where the work genuinely qualifies). Not just for tech companies.
Credits that stack with funding
How credits combine with grants, subsidies and financing so one claim doesn't disqualify another.
// A note on programs: Programs open, close and change constantly. I check what's actually available when we talk, and I don't quote eligibility or dollar figures on a web page.
What this looks like in practice.
Roughly $8,000 in credits for a gas fitting business
Identified the tax-credit opportunities that applied to a gas fitting business, resulting in approximately $8,000 in identified credits. Real engagement, client name withheld.
Find. Prioritize. Act.
We walk through how the work actually gets done: people, equipment, projects, problems solved. That's where credits hide.
I map the credits that apply, document the operational facts that support them, and estimate what they're worth.
Your accountant files. I make their job easier with the documentation and the case. I don't replace your accountant. I feed them.
// Wider view: This is one of several places a business can find growth. I look across ideas, markets, funding, contracts and operations, then help you act on the strongest option. See all services.
Questions people
actually ask.
Doesn't my accountant already do this?
Often partly. Accountants file what they're told about. Many credits depend on operational facts your accountant never sees, like who did what work on which equipment. I bridge that gap and hand them what they need.
Do you file the claim?
No. Your accountant files. I identify the credits, document the supporting facts, and estimate the value, then work with your accountant so the claim is clean.
Can credits be claimed for past years?
Some can, within limits that vary by credit. Part of the review is checking what's still open.
Is this only for tech companies?
No. Trades, manufacturing, industrial and service businesses qualify for several credits, especially around apprentices, training and equipment.
What are you leaving on the table?
You don't need a perfectly defined problem. Tell me what you're trying to accomplish, and I'll tell you where the opportunities are.
